Isagenix is a multi-level marketing company that sells products related to health, weight loss, and energy. The company was founded in 2002 by Jim and Kathy Coover, and John Anderson. Jim and Kathy were successful at MLM marketing, and John Anderson had experience in the nutrition industry – so together, the trio created Isagenix.
Over the years, Isagenix has produced billions in revenue and has developed a presence in more than a dozen countries across the world. Isagenix hit a whopping $6 billion in sales in 2018.
Products
Isagenix has a wide variety of products available, from weight loss products (which are most popular), to performance, well-being, essential oils, and personal care. They even have a specific line dedicated to kids, called IsaKids, which has nutrition smoothies for kids.
Weight Loss Products
There are several weight loss “paks and systems” available for you to choose from, including a Weight Loss Value Pak, a 9 Day System, a Bedtime Belly Buster, and the Ultimate Pak.
Performance Products
This line is designed for athletes, and offers “performance systems” to improve performance, stamina, and endurance.
Vitality & Wellness Products
These products are for supporting the biome of your digestive system, to help you be healthier.
IsaKids
This line is targeted towards school-going kids who need extra nutrition (for mamas who are frustrated with their kids bringing back uneaten lunches). Just blend a smoothie together for your child, and you know they’re getting the nutrients they need.
Essential Oils
These oils are used for applying, or diffusing, or ingesting. They are available in singles, in combinations, and also in a “complete collection” pack.
Personal Care / Beauty
Isagenix’s skincare line is called Rejuvity. There is a “pak” available for Rejuvity as well, which contains 5 products to help you take care of your skin. The products are also available to purchase individually. The products include a youth serum, an exfoliating polish, a cleanser, a day cream, a hand-and-body cream, an eye cream, a body wash, a hydrating toner, and a night cream.
Compensation Plan
Isagenix offers a binary compensation plan with four different ways of making money.
- Retail Sales: Depending on the level they are at with the company, independent distributors can earn anywhere from 30 to 100% on each item they sell.
- Bonuses: Isagenix awards bonuses when a distributor sponsors someone who buys a full start-up pack when they sign up. There are other bonuses available as a distributor grows his or her downline.
- Promotions: There are four levels of distributors in the company, and depending on what level you’re at, you get a different degree of compensation. You are also offered different promotions as you make more sales and have a larger (and more productive) downline.
- Incentives: To encourage sign-ups, Isagenix periodically announces short-term incentives, leading to distributors working harder to sell products and get rewards.
What’s Great About Isagenix
Isagenix has a wide variety of products available which can appeal to a lot of different people. The good thing about establishing a reputable brand that comes out with solid products is that the core customers will buy everything you put out.
For example, I know a lady who found out about Isagenix through her coworker, who was rapidly dropping pounds using the Isagenix system. This lady immediately started Isagenix herself, and began to see results. This lady has 2 kids who are school-going, and she immediately ordered the IsaKids smoothies for her kids to try. Her husband plays basketball, so she ordered the performance pak for him. Because she believes in the Isagenix brand, she will continue to purchase from them for the entire family, and she will promote it to her friends as well.
Moreover, Inc. 5000 has recognized Isagenix as one of the fastest-growing companies in the USA for 8 years straight. Isagenix also has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. Isagenix is appreciated for being transparent and for their ability to resolve customer complaints. The training and assistance provided to its distributors has raving reviews – the fact that the Coovers were successful in MLMs in their past lives helped them form solid training for the distributors in their own MLM company.
Additionally, Isagenix has a very thorough website which helps one understand what they are getting into whether they decide to simply purchase the products, or they decide to become a distributor themselves.
What’s Not To Love About Isagenix
Isagenix has products that may or may not work for everyone. The company puts these disclaimers on their products themselves, and also admits that their products have not been evaluated by the FDA. They also admit that the results from their weightloss products are not typical, and everyone should expect different results.
Additionally, there are concerns of side effects from some of the company’s products. Side effects are always dangerous and unpredictable, so everyone should use caution and monitor their health while on these products. Furthermore, distributors have told Isagenix that their products may be “curing” some health issues for their customers – while this sounds great, it’s actually dangerous because you can’t gauge what is really happening and which ingredient is causing what reaction in your body.
Lastly, Isagenix admits that its distributors should not expect financial success. The website states that almost 83% of its members buy their products for themselves and not for distribution. While there is of course great potential to make money from any MLM, there are only a handful of people who are making enough money to quit their day jobs.
Recap
As with everything in life, there are pros and cons to selling (and consuming) Isagenix products. Isagenix is a fast-growing company and it is continuing to grow rapidly. People I know personally have been successfully using Isagenix products to lose weight.
As an MLM company, though… if you are really committed to being successful at network marketing, you have to play the game a little differently than other people. You have to do things that other people may not be doing so that you can enjoy a greater piece of the pie.
If you do decide to market Isagenix, you have to find people who might be interested in either weight loss, performance enhancement, wellness, and so on. It’s always recommended to sell something that you actually believe in. So if you have tried the Isagenix products and they have worked for you, you will have a better chance selling them because you KNOW that they worked for you.
For you to be successful with Isagenix (or any other MLM), you need to target people who are already interested in weight loss (for example). How do you TARGET people who are already interested in weight loss?
This is where you have an edge if you have some knowledge of online marketing, and you can be more successful than others if you how to apply basic concepts of online marketing to be able to sell your product, no matter which network marketing company you’re working with.
You can read about what you can do to be successful with MLMs such as Isagenix here.
Marketing Isagenix the Correct Way
Have you wondered why there are certain people who always seem to have an edge over others when it comes to network marketing? Some people magically have amazing numbers whereas others are sick and tired of chasing after their friends and family to join their MLM?
What gives some people an edge over others is their knowledge of online marketing.
No matter what you sell or where you sell it, the basic marketing principles remain the same: you want to influence someone to buy your product, and/or join your downline.
The “old school” way of network marketing is to sell to your friends, family, and anyone else you might think would be interested.
With the rise of social media there are countless new ways to attract buyers to your offer; however, most people don’t know where to go to learn WHAT to do.
To find out more about how exactly to leverage the internet to market your MLM, check out this book.
The book basically gives you the exact blueprint you need to follow to be able to automate your downline (basically, be able to set up a system where you get leads coming in to your downline who are super interested in selling what you’re selling), and also to automate your sales (again, set up a system to sell your MLM products).
Not only that, but you’ll be able to DUPLICATE your system for everyone in your downline so that they can sell just as well as you (or rather, your online lead machine). It is NOT as hard as it sounds.. All you need is a little bit of knowledge on how to create a lead capture page, how to get traffic (eyeballs!) to that page, and how to get them to join your downline, and buy your products. All these things can be easily accomplished by a software like ClickFunnels.
If you’re serious about building your MLM business in the easiest way possible, you need to read this book. It will explain exactly what steps you need to take to literally automate your MLM business so that you can get leads in your sleep.
Briefly, here’s the strategy:
- You create lead collection landing pages in a software like ClickFunnels. I would recommend ClickFunnels over others because it is super easy to use, and it comes with several templates that you can use right off the bat. You can see some of these templates here.
- You get traffic to your lead collection pages.
- You offer a lead magnet on your landing page (you offer something high in perceived value that attracts the RIGHT customer). You deliver this lead magnet in exchange for their email address.
- You share the opportunity with them. You share your product with them. You have their email address, so you can now use an autoresponder such as GetResponse or AWeber to keep in touch with them and remind them to join your downline, or to buy your product.
